I have followed the instructions on this page here: http://www.weavefuture.com/coin_acceptor_ak5_coin_op_for_kiosk_Instructions.htm The problem is that after I put the Setting Switch to START (after finishing the p...

USB / Serial adapter cable is not good quality..

Hello, I recently purchased the USB/Serial adapter for the AK5 coin machine... and to be honest, I'm not impressed with the quality of the device. There are three very small wires between the USB adapter and the plugin into the Ak5 coin acceptor... and two of them have broken at the point where they...

Current version is incorrect?

On the download page (http://www.weavefuture.com/download.htm) you have stated latest version is 3.9.2. However, when I install the latest version (from the download) and click "About" button.. it shows this version is 3.9.1. Where can I download the latest version, or did you simply forge...

Re: How to upgrade Kiosk software?

Hello,

Did you create the export/import feature yet? I am trying to upgrade now, and I don't see any ability to export current settings.

The inability to easily upgrade without losing many of our settings is a major disadvantage of using this software...

Re: How to upgrade Kiosk software?

Or.. another idea is that you can add an "export current configuration options" button. When this is pressed, the software will prompt to save all the configuration options to a .ini file or something. Then we can copy this file to a safe place (or another computer that we are setting up) ...

Re: How to upgrade Kiosk software?

It would be nice if you can save the configuration information in registry or .ini file or something so that it is not lost when doing an upgrade. For example, when uninstalling you could ask user if we want to leave current configuration files or totally remove EVERYTHING. Then we can choose to lea...

Also, what is the proper way to uninstall the software in this case?

Possible to hide a specific drive?

Hello, In the configuration options for kiosk software, I see the "Hide All Disk Drives" option. Is it possible to only hide a specific drive? This is because I am using the "deepfreeze" software (changes to computer are reset after each reboot) and I want to store the kiosk log ...

The deepfreeze software will reset the registery every time the computer reboots.

What is needed is to save the data into a text file in a location where we (kiosk admin) can choose. (ie: D:\some\location\data.txt)

Thanks.

I agree.. however... it only occurs about once every 25 customers, and from what I understand there are no other people who have experienced this problem.

(So I don't consider it really urgent... it results in the occasional "lost" revenue, but it's not very much.)

Hello, yes, we have tried it with and without the deepfreeze software, and it has no effect. (The problem occurs with and without deepfreeze installed.) I'm not sure if closing all the programs will fix the problem, because I think it is actually Windows itself that gets messed up when the reboot co...
