For a couple of months now i'm using your AK5 and software on my kiosks. The first time i bought and installed one, i used the 3.7.5 version then. I installed deepfreeze on it, and now every restart gives me a fresh clean kiosk. I can use it without problems. I can disable deepfreeze to update windows and antivirus for example, or install software, and then enable back deepfreeze. On that kiosk it's working fine. Until now i had no problems and i'm happy with your product.
So i bought more of your products for more kiosks. Meanwhile the software is at version 3.7.8. I installed it and i wanted to install deepfreeze again, this is going fine but when i disable deepfreeze and restart the computer so i can install software or update windows, the computer crashes and doesn't start up anymore. It's like that deepfreeze messes up the partition or windows, i don't know. Another problem is that i can't use the CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F6 combination. On my first kiosk it isn't a problem, i can use it there. I thought that the problem was with the new version of the timer so i installed the 3.7.5 version of your software but the problem is still occuring!!?? The combination isn't working also, on my first kiosk it's working well. All my hardware are exactly the same and all my software are the same. I don't know what the problem is.
Do you maybe know how to install deepfreeze on a kiosk with your timer? Your product is very good in combination with deepfreeze, i see that on my first kiosk. People can do whatever they want on the kiosk, after a restart the kiosk is clean and fresh like a fresh install. So it's very important that deepfreeze works in combination with your software, otherwise the kiosk will get spyware and viruses and other crap all the time on it every day.
Please help me with this subject.
Also another problem now is that the timer doesn't get fixed on the place where i want it, i tried almost all your versions from 3.7.5 to the latest version, every time it goes back to it's default place. On my first kiosks this wasn't a problem.
And my latest remark is: what the hell is that porn on this forum???!! Can't you block or delete those??

2. Please let us know your windows version of your new kiosk. The Kiosk Software is just a application, it does not access the partition level of disk. It looks like the hardware failure. You can reinstall windows and the deep freeze to see if there is problem. (please let us know your new windows version)
3. If you do not allow the customer to download files, there will be no spy ware and virus in the computer, the kiosk software can be configured to disable access to hard disk. We will study the deepfreeze software and may be incorporate its features in the future version. I think may be you can refresh the deep freeze once a day, not every time customer use it.
You can post more info how you configured the deep freeze, so we can get to know it quickly.
4. For the CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F6, we suggest to do as following:
Start->Administrator->Kiosk Settings uncheck the disable all special keys.
then you can use the "CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F6", Please check it again after you finish using "CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F6"
Please remember that you make it easy for you to use then leave more holes for attackers.
5 We will check the timer fix problem, in the mean times, make sure it not because the deep freeze reset the it setting. I am not sure if it is possible to leave partial registry setting not reset in deep freeze.
6. We are keeping block and delete the porns and spam, however they are keeping change the IP address and account every times and getting more and more. It is really a uphill battle against dark side .

I don't restart with every customer. I just start the kiosk up at mornings and close it at nights. The next morning when the kiosk is started again, it's clean and fresh.

I think i found the problem: drivers of the IDE bus.
I'm using Nforce4 chipset based mobo's. On the deepfreeze site they say that some drivers give problems and crashes. Now, i checked my first kiosk, which is working fine, the driver there is not the latest driver of nvidia. The drivers i was using now are the latest drivers.
So i'm hoping the problem is there in the driver section of the mobo
, i'm going to try this out now, hopefully it will solve my problem, then i can deploy more kiosk with a eas mind and sleep on both ears finally
I checked your website for those molex power cables but i didn't see them. Can i order them with my next order for AK5's maybe? And by the way, is 10$ not a little but too much for a simple cable, i suggest 5$ a cable, should be enough, not??

i figured out the fault
Actually i'm not very sure, because i did several handlings but i got deepfreeze working back
Back to older version of bios, in the deepfreeze console clicked on SET FLAG, newer realtek sound drivers installed, and now it's working well i don't know which step did it but it's working
anyway i'm so happy, i could order 100 AK5's

Ooooh by the way, you don't have to exclude CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F6 in the future versions because it's not needed. I found out on the deepfreeze site, that you can also call the deepfreeze console by holding down SHIFT button and click twice on the deepfreeze icon in the tray. So the combination it's not that necesarry anymore.
But the F-keys exclution is needed, please work on that because users need them for the MMORG game, and i can't assign them to other keys because the game doesn't have that option. Also people are used to use the F-keys in that game, and are asking for it very much.

The feature with options to disable/enable F-key will be availalbe in the next release or ASAP since you are going to order 100 AK5s.
