Question about KB-USB2

Post by v0id »

What type of pulse signal does the KB-USB2 work with?

IHLP (Isolated High Level Pulse), ILLP (Isolated Low Level Pulse), NILLP (Non-Isolated Low Level Pulse)?

Also what is the pulse type? Short (30ms on, 50ms off), Long (35ms on, 300ms off) or a single 150ms pulse?

Thank You.

it is Normal Open pulse, High--Low--High.

the length does not matter Short (30ms on, 50ms off), Long (35ms on, 300ms off) or a single 150ms pulse, all OK.

Thank you for clarifying about the pulses.

Now I need to figure out which pins on the bill acceptor to connect the KB-USB2 to. I have a third party's bill acceptor. I have a pin out of the connector but all the pairs that I have tried to do not seem to work. Has anyone had experience interfacing the KB-USB2 to a third party's bill accept or or any other bill acceptors?

I have done that and the driver for KB-USB2 is loaded. However when I insert money into the bill collector the software timer remains at 0.

Please make sure your third party's bill acceptor has pause output and has its own power.
Please make sure that you using latest version 3.9.3 and the com port number in the Device Manager match the com port number in the software.
Would you please send the manual of your third party's bill acceptor to sales@weavefuture.com
Please send the pictures of how you connect the bill acceptor to the KB-USB2

According to the manual the acceptor supports pulse output.
Model: (24V AC Model)

If you look at page 27 of the manual, I have the following connections.

Pins 3 and 20 are connected to the 24V AC Power Source.

Pin 18 is connected to the neutral on the power source (this enables the unit).
Pin 4 is connected to the hot on the power source (also required to enable the unit).

Pins 27,28 and 29 are all connected to Pin 10 (ground) (Required to enable acceptance of $1, $2 and $5 bills)
Pins 13,14 and 15 are all connected to Pin 25. ( Also required to enable acceptance of $1, $2 and $5 bills)

The acceptor accepts the bills, I just do not know what pins to attach the KB-USB2 to.

This is not our bill acceptor, so you need to call the manufacture for technical support.
However, here is the suggest
Pin 1 CREDIT RELAY, Common and Pin 10 GROUND connect to INPUT1 of the KB-USB2
Pin 16 CREDIT RELAY, Normally Open connect to GND of the KB-USB2.
